In these classes Ian combines elements of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga to create a rounded yoga practice. You will leave the class feel calm and energised after going through a sequence of postures that flow from one to the other. Ian uses a range to props including blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters to enable everyone to experience each posture in accordance with their body type and age.

This is gentle yoga class suitable for those who prefer a less strenuous class or those that have some physical limitations.

In these classes Ian combines elements of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga to create a rounded yoga practice. You will leave the class feel calm and energised after going through a sequence of postures that flow from one to the other. Ian uses a range to props including blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters to enable everyone to experience each posture in accordance with their body type and age.

Wednesday Yin Yoga 7:30 - 8:30pm

Yin Yoga is a relaxing, passive yoga practice, there are no down-dogs, sun salutations or headstands. Using props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets, the lying or seated postures are typically held between 3 to 5 minutes, allowing us to work into the deeper layers of myofascial and connective tissue. It is said that the effects of practicing Yin for an hour can be similar to a deep tissue massage. As well as improving overall wellbeing and reducing stress, Yin improves range of motion and flexibility in the limbs, lengthens muscles, supports bone, joint and ligament health and helps us to avoid injury.

Hatha yoga incorporates using mindfulness, postures and breathing techniques to improve physical strength and flexibility as well as general wellbeing and focus. Each class will be based on a different theme, helping us to harness what we learn on the mat in order to enhance our lives outside of the studio.

Gong and Sound bath

Take yourself on a journey of deep relaxation. Calm the body and the mind with the soothing sounds and vibration of Tibetan and Crystal bowls, Gong, Tuned pipes, Happi drum, thunder box and chimes.

Deep relaxation encourages the body to heal and the mind to be still. Often tension in the body is reflected in the mind and vice versa, in some circumstances this can lead to a never ending loop of stress, anxiety and ill health. A sound bath can provide an opportunity to allow the body and mind to be still and reset.

There is a limited number of Yoga mats, blankets and bolsters available. Please feel free to bring your own with you.
