Take yourself on a journey of deep relaxation. Calm the body and the mind with th soothing sounds and vibration of Tibetan and Crystal bowls, Gong, Tuned pipes, Happi drum, thunder box and chimes.
Deep relaxation encourages the body to heal and the mind to be still. Often tension in the body is relfected in the mind and vice versa, in some circumstances this can lead to a never ending loop of stress, anxiety and ill health. A sound bath can provide an opportunity to allow the body and mind to be still and reset.
There is a limited number of Yoga mats,blankets and bolsters available. Please feel free to bring your own with you.

Tranquility with Yoga and Meditation

Generally take place on Friday evening or Sunday afternoon (November - March), Sunday evening (April - October).
In this extended Restorative yoga session you can take an opportunity to slow down and allow yourself to calm the body and mind. Ian creates a dreamy atmosphere with ceiling projectors that make you feel like you are drifting through space, in addition ian uses an aromatherapy diffuser with a calming and cleansing mix of Lavendar, Sage and Myrrh. Ian gently guides you through each posture taking you on a journey that soothes the body and calms the mind. Ian also incoporates reading, drumming and other mesmorising instruments that enhance the experience through sound and vibration
The session will start with a meditation moving into a gentle mat based flow sequence, this will be followed by Restorative yoga. In Restorative yoga all postures are fully supported with blankets, blocks and bolsters ensuring your comfort, whilst your body gently relaxes. Restorative yoga balances the nervous system and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. This can help to improve sleep, and reduce the likelihood of depression and anxiety.
Please aim to arrive up to 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, wearing warm loose fitting clothing, warm socks and bring a blanket with you.
